SnipSnap — Terms of Service

Effective date: 16 October 2025

Welcome to SnipSnap (“SnipSnap”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we'll post the updated version on the Service and update the “Effective date” above. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1) The Service; No Account Required

SnipSnap enables users to upload files (including text, images, and other content) and obtain shareable links. Some features differ for guest users and privileged users (authenticated via Cloudflare Zero Trust or other access controls we enable from time to time).

• Guest mode: uploads may be subject to stricter size limits and shorter automatic deletion periods (e.g., 7 days).
• Privileged mode: uploads may permit larger files, different retention (e.g., 30-day auto-expiry or “permanent” until deleted), and access to an admin listing page.

We may change limits, retention defaults, or features from time to time for service reliability, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.

2) Eligibility & Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with us and comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

You agree not to, and will not assist or permit others to:

• Upload, post, transmit, or share content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
• Upload child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, hate or terrorist content, malware, or content that violates export controls or sanctions.
• Infringe, misappropriate, or violate another's intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or circumvent any security or access controls.
• Misuse or overload the Service, including via automated scraping, excessive requests, or denial-of-service behavior.
• Use any SnipSnap trademarks, branding, or logos without prior written permission.
• Use the Service for unlawful or high-risk purposes (e.g., life-critical operations).

We reserve the right to remove content, restrict use, or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been violated, or to protect the Service and its users.

3) Your Content; License to Host

Between you and SnipSnap, you retain ownership of any content you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and deliver Your Content as necessary to operate the Service (e.g., to store in our object storage and serve when a share link is accessed), and to create transient copies or adaptations for technical delivery (e.g., integrity checks, metadata handling).

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for the consequences of sharing it. You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to upload and share Your Content through the Service.

4) Public Links & Visibility

SnipSnap generates public or semi-public URLs to Your Content. Anyone with the link may access the file until it is deleted, expired, or otherwise disabled. Treat all links as public and share only with recipients you trust. We are not responsible for copies made or shared by third parties.

If you choose “permanent,” content may remain accessible until you delete it (subject to technical or policy limits). If you choose auto-expiration, content will be deleted on or after the specified retention period. We may apply global or per-mode caps and may adjust retention windows to keep the Service reliable and lawful.

6) Abuse Reporting & Copyright (DMCA)

• Abuse/illegal content reports: email abuse@snipsnap.link with the URL(s), a description of the content, and why you believe it violates law or these Terms. We will review and take appropriate action, which may include removal, account restriction, or referral to authorities.
• Copyright/DMCA: If you believe content hosted via SnipSnap infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to abuse@snipsnap.link with:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work(s).
2. The specific URL(s) of the allegedly infringing material.
3. Your contact information.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We may notify the uploader and, where appropriate, accept and process counter-notifications consistent with applicable law. In cases of repeated infringement, we may terminate access.

7) Privacy Snapshot

We aim to collect the minimum personal data necessary to operate the Service. This may include IP addresses, request/response logs, and limited technical identifiers for abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service quality. If you email us, we may retain your correspondence. We rely on trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare) to deliver and protect the Service.

For questions or requests (e.g., access, correction, deletion), contact hi@snipsnap.link. We will comply with applicable laws and act reasonably to address privacy concerns.

8) Third-Party Links

Links to third-party websites or content are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse and are not responsible for third-party sites, content, or practices. Use of any third-party website is at your own risk.

9) Service Availability & Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or part) at any time, with or without notice. Upload size limits, retention defaults, and other parameters may change. We do not guarantee that links or content will be available at any particular time.

10) Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING OUT OF COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11) Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNIPSNAP AND ITS SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR INFORMATION.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SnipSnap, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or Your Content, including any violation of these Terms or applicable law.

13) Governing Law; Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and SnipSnap agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India for any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service. If you operate the Service under a different legal entity or jurisdiction, you may substitute your preferred governing law and venue here.

14) Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time with or without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, to comply with law, or to protect the Service or its users. Upon termination, your license under Section 3 ends, but the disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities survive.
